Asaba Zoo Opens

NAZAP welcomes the opening of Delta State’s brand new zoo. Asaba Zoo aims to increase access to conservation education and is only a 10-minute drive from the City center.

The Zoological Garden is home to a wide variety of animals, including Lion, Zebra, Giraffe, Chimpanzee, Ostrich, Sacred Ibis, Rock Python, Gaboon Viper, and three different species of monkeys, among many other animal species.

The zoo was opened to the general public on the 28th of January 2023.

Omu Resort and Prof. Olajumoke Morenikeji were an integral part of its development and indeed have full management control over the zoo.
